The Los Santos County District Attorney's Office is the largest prosecutorial office in the nation, along with a Bureau of qualified investigative personnel, known as DA investigators, who conduct some of the most unique, sensitive, and complex criminal, corruption, and administrative investigations on State employed personnel over San Andreas. The Bureau of Investigation's staff also assists other law enforcement agencies with vehicular and electronic surveillance, undercover operations, and photographic services.

As a DA Investigator, you will work under the direction of a Sergeant, D.A. to provide significant support and investigative assistance on many difficult prosecution cases and criminal investigations. Your primary function will be the investigation of corruption and criminal acts in the Justice System, working with other law enforcement gang units to develop gang injunctions and provide prosecution support.

You will also have the chance to develop into a DA Investigator in the Gang Injunction Division and work closely with GED and OSS to investigate and conduct surveillance on gang areas, closely document criminal acts, and develop state-authorized injunctions to decrease the crime rate in the area above.

One of your everyday tasks is also to handle and investigate expungement reports, in-depth and closely give a verdict to the prosecution table on whether it should be moved forward or not, and also assist with gathering evidence if requested by the prosecution to help build and support their cases.

In your day-to-day work, you will collaborate with numerous law enforcement agencies and can be assigned to teams including the Sheriff's Department Detective Division and the Police Department's Professional Standards Bureau or Gang Enforcement Team. After successful completion of a one (1) year probationary period, you will have the opportunity to be promoted to the position of senior investigator.
